Held annually on 27 July, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, known locally as Marija Sultana tal-Martri, is one of St Paul’s Bay’s most anticipated summer celebrations. The day begins with religious observances and culminates in a solemn procession through the town, led by the parish’s beautifully adorned titular statue. Brass bands fill the air with music, while colourful fireworks light up the night sky.
