Patron Saint
Marsaskala
St Anne
Marsaskala’s parish is home to a cherished statue of St Anne, which arrived from Ortisei, Italy, in 1947. Commissioned through the generosity of Spiru Vellu of Vittoriosa, the statue was a long-held dream of Parish Priest Fr Tarcis, who also envisioned Marsaskala becoming a parish in its own right. Crafted with devotion to honour the mother of the Virgin Mary, the statue remains central to parish life, carried in procession during the annual feast at the end of July.
