Mosta

The Mosta Rotunda is one of Malta’s most renowned churches, instantly recognisable by its gigantic cupola which is believed to be the third largest unsupported dome in the world. As striking from the outside, it’s even more impressive inside. The church features a vast circular nave without fixed pews, while the dome creates a mesmerising vortex of sky blue and gold diamond patterns, culminating in a windowed lantern at the top that welcomes in natural light. The walls are adorned with exquisite paintings by renowned Maltese artist Giuseppe Calì and others.
