Attard

Located in central Malta, Ħ’Attard is a tranquil village that forms part of the Three Villages alongside its neighbours Balzan and Lija. Inhabited since the Classical Period, Attard is especially known for its lush gardens, inspiring its Latin motto, Florigera rosis halo (“I perfume the air with my blossoms”). The village's charming piazzetta, adjacent to the Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary, offers a delightful starting point for leisurely strolls through winding streets leading to the serene San Anton Gardens, home to the 17th-century San Anton Palace, which was a summer bolthole for Grand Masters of the Knights and today is home to the President of the Republic of Malta.
