Located within restored underground air raid shelters beneath Birgu, the Malta at War Museum recounts the island’s dramatic role during the Second World War. Exhibits include wartime uniforms, weapons, medals, and propaganda materials, alongside an original wartime documentary. Visitors can also descend into the claustrophobic rock-hewn shelters where families once sought refuge during relentless bombing raids.
