Verdala Palace and Buskett Gardens
Located within the Siġġiewi limits lies the 16th-century Verdala Palace, a former summer residence of the Knights of St. John, located in Malta’s largest woodland area. Originally used by the Knights for game hunting, it was expanded into a grand palace in 1586. While the palace is open to the public only on special occasions, the surrounding Buskett Gardens offer a peaceful escape, perfect for picnics and leisurely strolls.
