Patron Saint

Msida

St Joseph

The patron saint of Msida is St Joseph, the humble carpenter of Nazareth and foster father of Jesus. Revered as a symbol of faith, family, and quiet strength, St Joseph has long held a special place in the town’s religious life. His presence is represented by the cherished titular statue sculpted by Wistin Camilleri, which depicts the saint tenderly holding the Child Jesus. During the annual feast, this statue is carried in solemn procession through the decorated streets of Msida.
