Hamrun

Ħamrun’s Feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated twice yearly, on the first Sunday of July and on 8 December, with great reverence and joy. Unlike the more boisterous feast of St Cajetan, this celebration is marked by a more quiet sense of devotion, unity, and grace. The beloved titular statue, admired even by Pope Leo XIII, is central to the feast, believed to bestow indulgences on the faithful who venerate it. Processions, hymns, and simple yet heartfelt festivities make this feast a moving expression of faith that deeply resonates with the Ħamrun community.
