Fgura

Held each July (officially on the 13th), the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Fgura blends devotion and festivity in a distinctively urban, post-war setting. The celebrations span several days and include processions, band marches and elaborate fireworks, but also places emphasis on youth-oriented events and community inclusiveness. As a newer parish forming in the latter half of the 20th century, Fgura’s festival captures both contemporary Maltese festa energy and the deeper Marian devotion embodied in the Carmelite tradition.
