San Ġwann celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes with a week of festivities that brings the community together in honour of its patroness. The celebrations typically feature processions through decorated streets, band marches, hymns, and fireworks, with the titular statue carried solemnly through the town.

One of the distinctive elements of the feast is the elaborate decoration of the statue itself, surrounded by silver flower stands filled with traditional ganutell flowers and sheltered beneath a blue canopy prepared especially for the occasion.
